My journey into these realms has been non-traditional, but over the years I have embraced the discovery of my strengths and passions. As a PhD candidate at Baylor College of Medicine, I study the mouse prefrontal cortex to understand how odor information is sent to the basal forebrain to influence feeding behaviors. During my graduate years, I revisited my passion for performance and became involved in the Houston Community Theatre. Over the past 4 years, I have had the opportunity to perform in 25+ full length productions. Recently, I have signed with Pastorini-Bosby Talent, a leading tv and film actor agency in Houston. Simultaneously, I began exploring management consulting at my institution and quickly became involved in the Consulting Club at the Texas Medical Center (CCTMC). Over the last 2 years I have played significant roles on the executive team, including the President of the 2022 CCTMC team. As a South Asian female, I am presented with a challenging and unique opportunity to combine my interests across science, acting, and business. I have long term career goals of combining my expertise across these dimensions to develop unique scientific content across TV and film for the mass audience.
